I just found a nice plugin in Obsidian called Telegram Sync that can transfer messages I sent in Telegram to a file of my choosing in my Obsidian Vault. I have it currently set up to add the new messages I sent from Telegram under the heading “## Log” of my Daily Note for the current day. Of course, I have also my daily note set up already to add a “## Log” heading on creation along with Obsidian opening up (and also creating if not yet created) the Daily Note upon startup. Now I don’t have to worry about whether if I should stick to one app between Telegram (for quick capture) and Obsidian (for long-form and owning my data) as to where I will journal on. I can have the best of both worlds.

## Log

`15:18` Nec dubitamus multa iter quae et nos invenerat.

`19:30` Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet.

The template I have set up adds a timestamp in the form of HH:mm automatically for me at the start of the every message. I still need to check if my current template works properly with images and other files I send over Telegram but probably not anytime soon since I seldom take pictures.
